Consolidate our position in Quito as an educational institution of excellent quality, whose graduates are recognized for being students with high values, ethics and a solid academic and technological training that will allow them to successfully enter the workforce and higher education.
Antonio Nariño, his main merits and events.
Antonio Amador José Nariño y Álvarez del Casal (Bogotá, April 9, 1765-Villa de Leyva, December 13, 1823) was a Colombian politician and military man who participated in the work of independence of the Viceroyalty of New Granada. Along with Pedro Fermín de Vargas, Francisco de Miranda, José Cortés de Madariaga and Eugenio Espejo, he is considered a precursor of the emancipation of the American provinces from the Spanish Empire. He made the first translation for Spanish America of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen in 1793. From his youth, Nariño pursued political activities that he knew how to combine with financial and commercial activities that led him to accumulate fortune. He was also mayor of the second vote elected by the council of Santa Fe in 1789, interim treasurer of tithes of the archbishopric, appointed in July of the same year.I
n 1813, organizing the southern campaign against the royalists, he fought in the battles of Palacé and Calibío, he was captured in the action of the Pasto ejidos in 1814 and sent back to the Cádiz prison. In 1819 he regained his freedom, traveled to Venezuela and was named vice president of Colombia by Bolívar.

Throughout my academic life I have had many moments where I have felt part of my institution, for example when the "Buen Vivir" program visited us and they recorded that we wanted to be when we grew up, at that time we were small and I felt so important to my studies at the institution, another event is now that the group of bastoneras is here and we are already organizing a dance, for me this is a great step in my life and it interests me, I am so happy to be able to represent my school and leave it high.
